With summer currently underway here in Toronto with already hot, sunny and humid days, I hope that you guys are finding ways to stay cool while enjoying our short summer months. I can’t believe that it is already beginning of August!! I been so busy since the beginning of June with my 1st trip flying to Vegas, which I had an amazing time there and enjoyed lots of delicious foods and enjoyed the heat too while spending my days by the pool, shopping & a bit of gambling as seen on my Instagram.
Besides going to Vegas, been busy going to a few concerts, enjoying the patio days, attended a baseball game and doing my re-organizing and cleaning project at home. I have yet to go to a beach but soon I hope, miss my beach days but I have lots of things planned this summer with things being safe it’s great to do normal things again.

Post 1 ~ The Sweet Foodie’s Summer Frozen Dessert Series
I’m excited to share with my readers the 1st Post of the series of “The Sweet Foodie’s Summer Frozen Dessert Series” with my new fave dairy free dessert brand/company called: Craig’s Vegan. They are a LA based company that started from Craig’s Restaurant in West Hollywood. I discovered them while I was in Vegas and they have a café location at the new resort called: Resorts World. That’s their only café location and their dairy free ice cream pints can only be ordered online.
I was so happy to have discovered them while on my vacation in Vegas because it was so humid and with the heat, it was the perfect treat to cool down with. Craig’s Vegan makes their dairy free and vegan ice cream using a cashew based. I love cashew based dairy free products as that’s why I also love “So Delicious” brand too. It is also gluten free as well. They currently offer on their website for pints for flavours such as their new Cold Brew Coffee, Killa Vanilla, Sunset & Strawberry, Melrose Mint Chip, Perfectly Chocolate and Kursten’s PB Krunch. I love the variety of flavours that they offer!!
With my visit to Craig’s Vegan café at the Resorts World Hotel, their café is decorated with the atmosphere of a modern, the Hollywood old décor style yet welcoming feel to it. I loved the interior of the café with the comfy Hollywood style chairs and couches and beautifully decorated walls with collages of picture frames. I love the patterned tiles as well!! It felt like a modern with the old fashion back in the days of an ice cream parlor! They even had a patio area where you can enjoy your dairy free ice cream treat outside. It was the perfect outside patio surrounded by trees and a nice quiet spot.
At the café, they did have several different flavours to choose from besides the regular flavours, which is great to try different flavours. I ended up trying the Sunset & Strawberry flavour with fresh strawberries on top. It was simply delicious as I loved the cashew based ice cream and it was creamy and you can’t even tell it was dairy free and vegan. The bright Strawberry flavour was both sweet and tangy and you can tell it’s made from fresh organic strawberries. It was the perfect and refreshing treat to enjoy as it was very hot that day in Vegas. I loved sitting in their outdoor patio to enjoy my dairy free ice cream…😋
If you are interested in ordering their pints, unfortunately it’s only for US residents so my US readers can order them. I’m sorry to my Canadian readers (the next Summer post is for you guys to check out). But if you happen to be in Vegas for a trip or vacation, I highly recommend you stopping by Resorts World to try the best and delicious sweet vegan ice cream.
When I’m back in Vegas hopefully soon as I love Vegas and love discovering new plant based foods and vegan desserts, I definitely be going back to enjoy their sweet dairy free ice cream. Or if you happen to travel to other parts of the USA, they have other locations that offer Craig’s Vegan ice cream as well. If you live in USA, you can order their pints online and have it delivered to enjoy it at home. Please check out their website where the other locations are. It’s definitely worth to travel to try their dairy free cashew based ice cream!!!

I decided to do a new seasonal feature on my Instagram page, which is additional dairy free ice cream and sorbet places to share and recommend to my readers within Ontario or GTA depends where I travel to but that is not here on my blog. I thought that this would give you guys more options to check out new gelato or ice cream shops during these very humid summer we are having in Toronto. It makes it a bit easier for me to share on Instagram than on my blog sometimes. I can’t wait to share more dairy free sweet and frozen desserts with everyone! I hope everyone enjoy the last month of summer in August!! Soak in the sun and heat while staying cool at the same time while summer is still here.
