My New Fave West End Vegan Donut Shop, Machino Donuts

Hi everyone,

I’m finally back again with the weather getting colder and as we ended the month of November with a few snowy days already in Toronto. I can’t believe December is already here as we begin the Holiday Season and enjoying the bright and festive feels in the city. It felt like this Fall season passed by so quickly.

How did everyone enjoy this warm, sunny and rainy Fall season??  Who’s ready for snowy and cold winter days?? Definitely not me lol 😂❄️🍂

A New Vegan West End Donut Shop – Machino Donuts

I’m so excited to share my new fave vegan donut shop, Machino Donuts where you can enjoy their fluffy and big soft & delicious donuts to warm up during the Fall and winter days ahead. If you didn’t know, I always had one vegan donut shop that I always go to but now so excited and happy to discover this new vegan donut shop in the West end of Toronto. Can’t hurt to have more than one delicious vegan donut shop to go to, right?? 😉

Machino Donuts has 2 locations in the West End, the main one is located at Christie Pits and their 2nd new location is at High Park (1556 Bloor St. West), which opened recently this year. I’m patiently waiting for Machino Donuts to open one closer to me in the East end as that’s how good their delicious and fluffy donuts are. All their donuts dough are made from plant-based ingredients and they use 100% vegetable oil to fry.

Why I love Machino Donuts? Because they are also offer a variety and creative fun flavours of donuts from their classic flavours Cinnamon Sugar, Simpson’s, The Original Glaze to their seasonal flavours like Apple Crisp, Pumpkin Pie, Chocolate Orange, French Toast, PB&J, Chocolate Crunch, Holiday Nog to name a few. They offer both filled and classic style donuts as well as sometimes they also offer Cronuts as well. They rotate their flavours monthly and sometimes bring back different flavours every month. As you can see, they have a great selection of flavours of donuts for everyone.

As well they also offer hot and cold beverages such as ice teas, lemonades (which I would try next time as they have a few different flavours to try), hot tea, lattes and more.

I stopped by Machino Donuts bakeshop during the early Fall when it was still warm and sunny. I went to their cozy High Park location where I pre-ordered my donuts for pickup. I got the Apple fritter, Apple Crisp and the Simpsons flavour donuts. They were simply delicious, soft and I love how fluffy their donuts are. I love the size of the donuts too as they are bigger than normal donuts. The Apple fritter had fresh apples chopped inside the dough and it tasted very cozy for a warm Fall day. My fave is definitely the Apple Crisp because it taste like a real apple crisp fresh dessert with the a light crumble on top and it was full of apple flavour with apple glaze. If you love a true classic like the Simpsons, definitely try the Simpsons flavour donut with strawberry glaze and rainbow sprinkles. It’s a fruity type of donut and I loved it. All their donuts are soft and fluffy I can’t say that enough as I can’t believe these donuts are dairy free and vegan donuts.

I’m happy, satisfied and excited that I discovered this new amazing vegan donut shop and can’t wait to go back for more delicious and sweet vegan donuts. It is now one of my new fave go to vegan donut shops to go to now!! I only wish they had a location closer to the East side near me to go to more often. Hoping one day they will open one in the East side of Toronto until then I will have to make a trip to their High Park location for these amazing and delicious donuts, it’s definitely worth to make the trip to go to get these donuts.

If you can’t stop by one of their two bakeshops in person, they now deliver within 20km only through UberEats and DoorDash. Unfortunately for me, still too far for them to deliver to me sadly. I’m hoping that they expand their delivery radius so I can get delivery so I can enjoy these fluffy and sweet vegan donuts in the comfort of my own home esp when the weather is cold and snowy.

I have to mention that they have an amazing and friendly staff who works there and patient with me as I decided to get an extra donut and food photography while at the store. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. At the High Park location, in case you want to know, there are no seating available at that location. It is just for takeout. I haven’t been to the main location, Christie Pits, but I assume from their Instagram account and seeing stories that there are no seating available as well. I don’t mind as I’m fine enjoying my sweet donuts at the comfort of my own home.

If you are looking this Holiday Season or winter or when the weather is warmer too, as for any season, Machino Donuts are the perfect cozy, fluffy, soft and sweet vegan donuts to enjoy and satisfied your sweet cravings. They currently have their new Holiday flavour donuts available that includes Cranberry Orange Fritter, Gingerbread, Chocolate Orange, Cherry Cheesecake, Nanaimo, Peanut Banana Cream and more. This is the perfect time to stop by Machino Donuts to try these Holiday and warm festive donuts for your Christmas treats. (Will share which Christmas flavours that I got from Machino Donuts with you all on Instagram and post an updated photo on the blog here too.)

You definitely won’t be disappointed with these light and fluffy vegan donuts!! Check out one of Machino Donuts locations or you can order them for delivery and let me know what you guys think in the comments below.

Stay Connected With Me

I can’t believe it’s the end of 2022 Year!! Where did this year go by?? Since the pandemic, 2022 was the year of doing everything I haven’t done in the last 2.5 years from travelling (being on a plane) to attending events & concerts and more. I’m happy that I finally got to travel outside of Canada again to Vegas earlier this year in June and ending my summer with 2 mini trips to Belleville, Kingston and Ottawa all within 2 weeks. It felt more like a normal year for 2022.

I’m looking forward to 2023 to more new foodie travel adventures to discover new cities and new vegan bakeshops and foods to share with you all. I already booked my winter getaway to Niagara Falls in mid-January and planning my bigger trip to Florida for early Spring 2023 (more details soon as I’m been busy planning it).

This is my official last post for 2022 Year as a reminder I will be on my mini winter hiatus for my blog starting January 2023 and will be back around April 2023 with a new blog post. These few months off always gives me time to do site maintenance and refresh with new ideas for my sweet blog.
