I can’t believe its the end of December and Christmas has arrived and gone with only our last week of 2023 is left!! The end of the year for me felt like it flew by because the last few months in October and November I was busy travelling a lot that’s why I haven’t had time to do a post for my blog. Thanks for being patient with me.
I been slowly recovering & catching up from my 3 trips within 2 months from sunny Clearwater & Tampa, Florida to Niagara Falls, ON to wintery Ottawa, ON. I’m finally finding time to settle back into a routine in December only but still lots to do since I been away.
Ottawa Holiday & Christmas Treats at Strawberry Blonde Bakery
I’m excited to share my last post for 2023 and it’s my late Holiday and winter blog post for my readers, which is my fave vegan and dairy free bakeshop, Strawberry Blonde Bakery in Ottawa, Ontario. I discovered them a few years ago & excited to share this bakery again on my new blog since the last time I checked them out as they have moved to a new location, which I thought it was the perfect time to share with you guys.
Strawberry Blonde Bakery has 2 locations within the Ottawa area in Kanata and in Westboro areas and I went to the Westboro location as it is closer to the downtown area of Ottawa where I stayed when I was in Ottawa. Kanata is more located in suburban area of Ottawa about 40 mins drive from downtown Ottawa or it’s nearby the Canadian Tire Centre arena if that gets you a better idea where it is located. I was excited to check out their newer location in Westboro as the last time I went to their bakery many years ago it wasn’t located there.
It was a cold day in Ottawa and stepping in Strawberry Blonde Bakery was cozy and warm filled with the beautiful aroma of sweet baked goods in the air. Loved their cozy & mid-size bakery that was decorated with Christmas and Holiday decorations feeling the festive vibes inside the bakery. They had a beautiful display case of a variety of baked goods and a fridge on the side for frozen desserts to bring home.
What I love about Strawberry Blonde Bakery is the variety of different desserts and baked goods available to choose from for different people’s choice and taste from cupcakes to sugar cookies, assorted cookies & gingerbread cookies to vegan ice cream, brownies, seasonal donuts, magic bars, cakes, chocolates, cake pops, scones & more. During certain Holidays, they will have special desserts available too like for Christmas they had Christmas Yule logs, chocolate bombs, special chocolate stocking stuffers and more.
Strawberry Blonde Bakery is 100% gluten free, vegan, nut free, and kosher bakery with a few selected soy free items available in-store or by request.
What dessert or baked goods did I get? I ended up getting 2 cupcakes – Vanilla and Funfetti flavours, Raspberry with White Chocolate drizzle donut, 1 gingerbread cookie as only 1 left (I would have gotten more if there was more available as they tasted soooo good I loved their soft gingerbread cookie), 1 Snowflake shaped sugar cookie and 1 Oatmeal Raisin cookie as Oatmeal Raisin cookie is my fave flavour I had to get it. I wish I got more Oatmeal Raisin cookies as I loved it, it was soft and a slight crunch too. I also got the London Fog Soy based Tea, which was perfect to warm up with on this cold day in Ottawa and sweet drink. Loved it!!

Can’t believe 2023 another year is almost over!! This year been the year for working at different work opportunities to find the right fit and still looking for new work opportunities. But it’s been a fun and adventurous travel 2023 year for me exploring different parts of Florida – St. Pete, Clearwater, Dunedin and Tampa and finally made it to New York City to explore some of the big Apple city. Happy to return to a few of my fave cities, Niagara Falls and Ottawa, ON.
I’m already planning my sunny and hot tropical paradise back to St. Pete, Florida in May 2024. Can’t wait to go back and explore more of St. Pete and Tampa!! Looking forward to new fun travel and foodie adventures in 2024! ✈️
This is my official last post for 2023 and also a reminder that I will be going on a mini winter hiatus for my blog as of January 2024 and will be back around end of May 2024. I will be working on site maintenance, closing down my other blog site and working on sharing new sweet bakeshops with you in 2024.
